IBM adds features to WebSphere monitoring, modeling tools
SEPTEMBER 29, 2003 ( COMPUTERWORLD ) - IBM is enhancing its line of WebSphere middleware monitoring and modeling tools with changes that it said will help customers see what's going on with their business processes and make them run more efficiently.
The company also plans to introduce a WebSphere Business Integration WorkBench entry edition to provide basic modeling and simulation capabilities that it claimed will be easy to use.
According to IBM, these tools can help manufacturers watch and optimize their supply chain processes. "Managers that can model and monitor their business conditions have a greater ability to make proactive decisions and quickly incorporate business processes and IT resource changes that help them reduce costs and meet regulatory requirements," Paraic Sweeney, vice president of marketing, WebSphere Business Integration, said in a statement.
